Dam forms

Large dams and building consents

The fully completed application should be forwarded or delivered in person with the appropriate deposit, directly to the Waikato Regional Council, or alternatively your local regional authority will forward this to the Waikato Regional Council.

Once this has been received by the Waikato Regional Council, you will receive a letter acknowledging your application has been accepted for processing, or a letter requesting further information.

Dam safety scheme

Forms required by regulations and provided by MBIE provide the minimum information required to comply.

The forms below include additional fields agreed to by all regional councils, to enable them to fulfil their dam safety scheme obligations and to enable them to update their respective dam registers and provide a better understanding of their regions dam portfolio.

Please note: All dam owners must submit their completed forms to the regional council in which the dam exists, as they are solely responsible for Dam Safety Scheme Regulations in their region.
Marlborough District Council have their own online forms to complete.
