Waikato groundwater quality state of environment to 2020

TR 2022/23

Report: TR 2022/23

Authors: John Hadfield

Abstract

This report describes the state of groundwater quality in the Waikato for the five years to the end of 2020 and trends over an 18-year period from 2003 to 2020.

Information is derived from data collected from a regional network of 110 state of environment (SOE) wells, including 10 wells which are part of the National Groundwater Monitoring Programme (NGMP). Less frequent data is also collected from a network of 80 ‘community’ or rural school water supply wells.
