Refined classification of land characteristics to assist economic modelling

TR 2018/64

Report: TR 2018/64

Author: Sanjay Wadhwa, Sandy Elliott (National Institute of Water & Atmospheric Research Ltd (NIWA))

About this report

This report was commissioned by the Technical Leaders Group for the Healthy Rivers Wai Ora Project Report No. HR/TLG/2015-2016/2.7

This report focuses on spatial characterisation of key drivers of contaminant loss such as land use, slope, rainfall, and soil drainage, and the distribution of combinations of these drivers. The results fed directly into E. coli modelling, and will also be useful in providing a context for identifying and interpreting the distribution and control of other contaminants.
