About this report

The Waikato Regional Council is responsible for managing the status of water resources in the Waikato region. Waikato Regional Council have initiated investigations in the Piako catchment to support and inform the review of water allocation limits in the catchment scheduled for 2014. The aim of this project was to build on the ecological monitoring carried out in the Piako catchment in 2012, and revisit a sub-set of monitoring sites in the Waihou catchment that were previously surveyed in 2009 and 2011.
