Waikato Regional Land Transport Plan (RLTP) 2024-2054

PS 2024/13

An image of the cover for the RLTP 2024-2054 The 2024-2054 Regional Land Transport Plan (RLTP) has been developed by the Waikato Regional Transport Committee. The plan sets out how we intend to develop the region’s land transport system over the next 30 years. It also identifies proposed regional transport activities for investment (by local and central government) over the next six years.

The plan’s scope includes policy and activities related to our roading maintenance and improvements, public transport services and infrastructure, walking and cycling infrastructure, road safety education and transport planning across the region.

The plan focuses on the region’s key transport problems and priorities over the next three years and explains how the region contributes to national objectives for a land transport system that is effective, efficient, safe and in the public interest.
