2019/20 Annual Report | Pūrongo-ā-Tau
Waikato Regional Council's 2019/2020 Annual Report | Pūrongo-ā-Tau is our statement to the community about our finances and our service performance from 1 July to 30 June.
The council adopted its 2019/20 Annual Report and Annual Report summary on 10 December 2020, closing out 2020 in a positive place financially despite the impact of COVID-19 and its decision to lock in a net zero per cent rates increase for residents.
The approval of the 2019/20 annual report was delayed. However, it still fell within the extended statutory reporting timeframe introduced by the government in August 2020 to accommodate the impact of the lockdown on all local authorities. This gave councils until 31 December 2020 to complete the reporting cycle.
