The first graph shows you the total rainfall for each day over the past year. If you view less than five days at a time, you can see when during the day the rainfall occurred.

If you’re interested in how much rainfall occurred in each month (absolute values) and how this compared to what is normally expected (monthly percentages), see the second graphic of average monthly rainfall as a percentage of normal rainfall.

The last graph, cumulative daily rainfall, lets you see how this year’s total rainfall compares with all previous measured years. The blue line represents rainfall so far this year, and the green line represents the median daily rainfall for all measured years on our record. If the blue line is below the green line, this means that we have had less rainfall than normal. Conversely, if the green line is below the blue line, this means we have had more rainfall than normal.
