This workshop was run by international speaker, facilitator and author, Jim Diers. It was held on Friday 15 September 2017 at Sir Don Rowlands Centre, Lake Karapiro.
The workshop was designed for local government and community groups throughout the Waikato region. Participants were invited to learn how to build more effective community partnerships and utilise these for the benefit of our environment, economy and wellbeing.
Survey feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive in terms of Jim's inspirational style, passion for working with communities and sharing of case studies and stories near and far.
People who attended thought there was great energy behind the delivery and made them stop and think how well they know their communities, changed their mindset to focus more on solutions and made them look for opportunities for government and non-profits to work together to achieve more effective change.
Jim remarked that the session was a highlight for his tour of New Zealand and he felt privileged to work with so many people from different places and sectors.
