Strategic trends and implications: Waikato region (the PESTLE report)

To support our ability to shape the future region we want, we need to be aware of the trends and events that shape our world, from local to global levels.

This discussion document explores a range of national and global drivers of change, exploring trends across political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental (PESTLE) spheres that affect the Waikato region. This work was commissioned to inform the 2022 update of the council’s strategic direction, and will also be of value to others in the Waikato region to use for their planning purposes.
