VHF radio channels

Maritime radio channels will be changing on 1 October 2016

From 1 October 2016, there will be a change to most VHF Radio Channels around New Zealand. Along with a number of other countries, New Zealand is required to change some maritime VHF repeater channels to make space for newly allocated international services for ship tracking and data services. However, emergency distress calls to Marine Channel 16 will remain unaffected.
