NESPF notification of forestry activities

Photo of forestry activity - Whangapoua

The National Environmental Standards for Plantation Forestry (NES-PF) came into effect on 1 May 2018.  Under the NES-PF, some permitted forestry activities now require notification to the regional council within 20 days of starting an activity. A management plan is also required.

To determine the specific requirements of notification and management plans, please view the Resource Management (National Environmental Standards for Plantation Forestry) Regulations 2017.(external link)

If your activity is not permitted under the NES-PF regulations, please don't use this form.  You will need to apply for resource consent.
