Council applies for funding for transport projects

Environment Waikato has applied for kick start funding for several transport projects in the Region.

The Council can obtain Transfund New Zealand assistance for special projects, and hopes to have answers on the project applications by next week.

Projects include extensions to all Saturday bus services, extensions to the Claudelands service, a new northerner service covering Chartwell and the new north eastern suburbs around Flagstaff, a high frequency service trial, extension of later services on Thursday and Friday nights, and new automatic ticketing machines.
