Cleanup After Urea Truck Crash

Environment Waikato and the Fire Service are cleaning up after a 20 tonne urea truck overturned on Tauwhare Rd just before midday, spilling its load into a nearby drain.

The driver of the Mainfreight truck escaped without injury but the urea caught fire when it joined with spilled diesel. The fire was brought under control and the urea was trapped in the drain from where it could be recovered.
